About Me

I come from a medical background having previously worked as a doctor for 10 years.

In 2007, I began my counselling training as I was always interested in helping people and being there for them. I trained as a Person-Centred Counsellor (PG diploma).  Since 2010, my work was with individuals from different cultures and having different issues. I am bilingual and work with clients in English and Arabic.

I am very passionate about working with couple’s and individual relationships. In 2013, I joined Marriage Care as a volunteer couple counsellor and I started the Emotional Focused Couple Therapy Certificate (EFT). Since then I’ve worked with couples to sort out their relationships, I find it very rewarding to see relationships grow and blossom as a result of our work together.

In 2015, I became interested to work with children and young. I completed the Place2be training and started volunteer work with them for one academic year, I worked with children in Secondary schools with different issues. I found working with children very interesting, so I decided to do Specialist Diploma of counselling children and youth.

In 2016 I became a Registered MBACP Senior Accredited Counsellor/Psychotherapist and completed my training as a Supervisor in 2018.
